In 1975, Carlos Escudero, son of AP sportswriter, C.R. Escudero, set off for Southern California on his new BMW R 75/6 motorcycle. Once in L.A. Carlos enrolled at Trade Tech where he studied under the renowned racer and tuner, Robin Sirkegian and Triumph expert, Pat Owens.

Carlos returned to the East Coast to start up his first company, Moto Fixx. Throughout the nineties, Carlos crewed with ”Team Obsolete” and worked on historically significant racing motorcycles from Daytona to Laguna Seca.

In 1994 Carlos founded SoloMoto with the business philosophy of “small is beautiful”. In 2004 Carlos moved his business to a better equipped and more spacious facility. There he has assembled a core staff of like-minded craftsmen. Included on his team is Phil Brown, whose background as a musician and recording engineer adds to his calm, thoughtful, and steady approach to management.
